In a way, they “grew up” together. Although, despite going to the same church and being in the same place for many years…they never really noticed each other. That was until Maddy was graduated and done with college and was over visiting with Mitch’s family.  His mom mentioned that Mitch was “single”.  I’m sure there were a few little details that happened after that…but the result of that was that Mitch and Maddy went on a date.  And it was the last first date either one of the went on. 😉

When it came time for Mitch to pop the question to Maddy, he really thought of all the details.  He had a friend who was a photographer and asked her to come photograph the engagement.  Although Maddy was told that they were volunteering to be models for a photographer that needed practice.  Right the middle of the “practice” photo session while Maddy was turned around, Mitch got down on one knee and truly surprised Maddy!  She had NO idea.  After she said “Yes”, their closest family and friends all came out of the wooded areas around them (they were hiding during the session) and got to celebrate with them right away!

For their Engagement Session, we decided to head back to the scene of the proposal.  Mitch slipped that ring on Maddy’s finger right on that bridge!
