In the 8 years that I have had the honor of being this girls mama, I have never been in such awe when photographing her.

Let’s be real here!

Haley is VERY used to having a camera in her face.  Even back in the “un-digital” days of film photography…I took a LOT of photos.

And even though she is used to it.

And even though I have taken more photographs that I could even keep track of.

This session left me a bit sad and a bit overwhelmed and really proud of who this little lady is becoming.

She is most in her element when she is around horses.  But even more than that…when she is around her favorite horse…Aniken.

Just about 2 years ago…Aniken stole Haley’s heart and he hasn’t given it back! (Nor do I think he’s ever going to give it back!)

So, for her 9 year old shoot…we decided to spend some time with him at the barn…where she is her true self!

Aniken loves to nuzzle her!
