He is the one who officially made me a mom.

The one who first taught me what I know about how to maneuver through this crazy thing called motherhood. (And then Haley came along and made me quickly realize that I knew NOTHING!)

His heart is golden.

He is brave and strong while still having the sensitivity to have to live with TWO girls/women in the house.

And he does it all with humor and laughter along the way.

On the way to school the other day, I was telling both of them that if I could choose who my kids were going to be…that I would choose them.

Haley responded by saying that I HAD to say that…because I was their mom.

But that’s not the case.

I count myself to be the luckiest mama to be to able to live the every day with them.

They are both a constant learning experience…which is what life really is isn’t it?

You live.

You learn.  (SO MUCH!)

And hopefully you have people in your life along the way to help you out in the process of trying to love more and smooth out your rough edges.

This kid makes me a better mama on a daily basis…but he also makes me a better person!

I will continue to thank God that I GET to be his mom.
