I arrived a bit early to check out and find some great spots to photograph Kylee & Mike in and I came upon something that certainly wasn’t ordinary!  Almost at the exact time of our session beginning, they were closing off streets of Downtown Crown Point for the shooting of a new movie!  There were City of Chicago ambulances being brought in on trucks and the scene was being set.  Considering that they wanted a more “urban downtown” feel to their session…I was kind of thrilled for the unplanned obstacle of the movie!  There were more people milling about…more than the usual Saturday evening, which added to the excitement of the whole evening!

Their wedding day will be here before they even know it and it was such a fun evening walking around downtown Crown Point and enjoying the weather!

Engagement sessions are the best time to get to know my couples before the busyness of the actual wedding day.  I got to hear about wedding planning, buying the furniture for their new home and most of all…I just got to get to know them as a couple better!  What could have possibly been better?  At the very end of our time together, a GORGEOUS rainbow appeared out of nowhere!  Yeah…it was PERFECT 🙂
