(Let me just preface this by saying that while I am VERY much in love with my dog…I never would have done anything for his birthday had I not had an 8 year old daughter who REALLY wanted to do something special for his birthday!)

1.  Haley (my 8 year old) LOVES animals.  I mean LOVES them.  She thinks the ugliest dog in the world (go ahead and Google it!  “The Ugliest Dog in the World”…really IS the ugliest!) is simply the most sweetest most beautiful thing she has ever laid on.  Better yet CLICK HERE to see how ugly that dog really is!  So the point to this is that she adores ALL animals and really wanted to do something special for Cooper on his very first birthday.

2.  She has been planning this day for about 3 months.  THREE months people!  Her big idea was to invite Coopers favorite “doggie” friends to a party at our house.  There is a slight details problem with that though because we have no fence and a small home.  He has THREE really good dog friends.  If the party went on as planned….we could have an overcrowding problem.  I talked her down and instead we bought a special homemade with frosting treat for all this friends and a SUPER special treat for Cooper on his big day!

3.  There were party hats involved…

And let me just say…he was a trooper with keeping the hat on!

4.  There was a yummy treat with frosting and sprinkles involved…

That last picture he looks like he is thinking “Can I eat it yet?”

Then he just got plain impatient and thought maybe a a relaxing snooze might help…

5.  But FINALLY….he got to dig in.  He made a big mess…which is all the more reason that he must have enjoyed every last bite!

Haley was thrilled with our “party”…and I think Cooper was too 🙂

This doggie mama though knows that every birthday will not be like this one!
