It was a day that was filled to the brim with friendship, emotion, connection and joy.
When I arrived and pulled into the ceremony site (Dave’s parents cottage), I was greeted by Dave’s mom. Â She led me onto their property and explained to me the history of it and how their family has enjoyed it for many years.
The view was exceptional.
Lake Michigan seemed to be a bit bluer than usual that day.
The air was so still.
The sun was shining bright.
The sky was even more blue then the water.
Peace.
Family and friends was there, helping to set up, milling about, pitching in where extra help was needed.
Lisa & Dave set out to plan an intimate wedding that included the very closest people to them.
That is exactly what took place on this day.
The joining and blending of two families.
A “Broken Road” that led them to each other.
I have photographed a LOT of weddings and I’ll admit that I Â cry at a lot of them…but I shed more tears at this one and observed more tears from others than ever before!
Congratulations and so much love to you Lisa & Dave. Â Thank you SO much for not only letting me watch it all and document your love…but also for making me feel like a part of your family!
