Mike & Cara – Engaged | A Rustic Country Engagement Session | Crete, Illinois

October 20, 2014

For all three days prior to our scheduled session day, it had rained.  Lots of rain and never ending clouds.

So as they day neared of their engagement session, I compulsively was checking my weather.com app!  It said partly cloudy with maybe a peak of sunshine (that peak never did come!).

But when I arrived at the GORGEOUS location, the drops of rain had stopped and the temperatures were lingering in the 60’s.

I arrived a little early, got out of my car and just stared in wonderment.   I feel like around this area, all the wide open spaces of land seem to be ending up with giant buildings on them.

The “Wide Open Spaces” seem to have gone far away into extinction!

But on this day…not only was there a HUGE piece of open land…but one that I got to explore with a super fun couple.

Cara & Mike were up for anything and that made it all the more fun for me!

I picked just a few to share with you all, knowing that my absolute favorites…I had to keep under wraps so that those two could use them for a “Save The Date” card!

ENJOY!

These two made my job easy!  They genuinely have fun together and it shows!

Mike made it that much easier on both his soon to be bride AND me by grabbing a “gator” so that we could drive out amongst the acres and acres of open spaces to explore!

Isn’t the land AND the couple just beautiful!

I look forward to seeing these two as the bride and groom next June!
