When you graduate from high school and head to college, you leave your past life behind you and embark on brand new adventures right?
As the years pass by, you make new friends and maybe kept in touch with some old ones too.
While I haven’t kept in touch with most friends from high school (although Facebook has changed that a bit in more recent years), there is one friend that I have kept in contact with since the Class of 1996 left the building…and that’s Mary!
Almost 15 years ago, she stood up for me in my wedding and on Sunday I got to return the honor and stand beside her while she made a life long commitment to an absolute PERFECT match for her!
When Mary asked me to be a bridesmaid for her wedding, she also told me that she wanted me to really be in the moments of the day. Hence why she wouldn’t let me be the main photographer of the day! She is also quite lucky to have a brother who is a photographer as well.
So I got to be a bridesmaid and fill in as a second shooter…and of course I wanted to give you a preview of the most GORGEOUS Autumn day!
Mary and Jonathan have found what they have been looking for in each other and I can’t even tell you how excited I am for them as they start the new adventure of being husband and wife!
Congrats guys!
The grounds of the Morton Arboretum provided a pretty amazing backdrop for the bridal portraits!
Isn’t her engagement ring gorgeous?
Jonathan and Mary opted to have a First Look and because of this, we had plenty of time to go to several different locations on the grounds of the Arboretum.
