I finished up my 2017 with a lovely Engagement Session that was the cherry on top of a pretty great year! Rebecca and Cody are getting married next Fall and we thought it might just be perfect to do a Winter Session. The glowy light on a Winter Evening just can’t be matched and let me tell you…it did NOT disappoint. And to make it even better…it was a “warmer” day at a balmy 45 degrees…yay for no coats!!!
Rebecca & Cody went to the same High School but didn’t really get to know each other until Junior year. It didn’t take long from that very first night of talking to be talking every. single. day. Then college came. And what was a relationship that involved seeing each other frequently (almost every day!) turned into a long distance romance as Cody went off to school and Rebecca went to a local college. But distance didn’t matter. And neither did long periods away from one another. They stood the test of time and during the middle of the 2nd inning of a St Louis Cardinals game (He is a lifelong fan…and she has become one), he got down on one knee (in front of a LOT of fans!!) and asked her to be his lifelong love. Of course she said yes! The ring he gave her even incorporated a diamond that belonged to her grandfather that had recently passed away. Needless to say…there were LOTS of tears!!
Enjoy these preview images of their Lincoln Park Chicago Engagement Session…complete with that perfect warm glowy light, snuggling and so much LOVE!!
