When Rachel first inquired with me, she told me all about her relationship with the guy she had chosen to spend the rest of her life with.  Elliott and Rachel first met at a party in the Summer before they entered high school.  It was a simple meeting.  There wasn’t any “magic” things happening or “love at first sight” moments.  Those moments are for fiction books.  Their story happened slowly and intentionally.

After that party, they were friends.  Friends who went to school together and hung out in the same circles.  But something seemed to change in their sophomore year of high school and things took a turn.  They began to see each other differently, as something more than just friends.  The term “high school sweethearts” is perfect for describing these two!

Rachel and Elliott literally grew up together and last October, while at the “Covered Bridge Festival”, he asked her to be his wife.  They were surrounded by twinkle lights and photographs of their years together clipped to a huge hovering oak tree.  And it was then and there that Rachel said “Yes!” because it was her dream to continue to grow older with him by her side.

Can you all see why I can’t wait for their wedding day?!
